James, I loved reading your review of The Sandlot! This was a childhood favorite growing up. You have inspired me to watch it for the first time in too long and I can’t wait! It’s the perfectly nostalgic summer film. 🫶🏾☀️⚾️
I mentioned that Fourth of July baseball fireworks scene set to Ray Charles in the review, but I forgot to include this link to when he performed it live at the 2001 World Series. It was only a month or so on from 9/11, and a pretty special performance. When I saw this clip for the first time, it immediately made me think of the movie.
This is a great review. This movie is one of my favorite nostalgia trips. I’m also going to check out The Cinemile podcast.
Thanks, Joe! And you’ll love The Cinemile. It’s such a fun show.
It's my new commute podcast!
Yay! Thanks for listening Joe and thanks for recommending us James 🧡
Juno is gorgeous. I’ve never seen this film but I’m a sucker for the “25 years later” look backs with the cast.
Thank you! She’s almost 2. Still a whirlwind, but she’s my whirlwind! 😂
I think you’d LOVE The Sandlot.

Thank you! And thanks for the suggestion so early on to review it! 😊 let me know what you think on rewatch.
Such a fun review! This movie jus screams summer, especially the fireworks scene. What a way to “say hey” to a legend, too. ⚾️
It really does. It might be one of my fav scenes in cinema.
