Here in the UK it's thought of as an absolute classic. It was always shown on TV on bank holidays (public holidays) when I was a kid. Enjoyed reading your review, made me think I must watch it again.
Ah right, you must be much younger than me then 😁 it was a staple of mid/late 80s TV but then Scottish TV programming is a bit different to English TV programming, maybe that’s partly why too
I was born in 84. I still would have thought I’d have heard of this one considering how entrenched in our culture the sport is. I guess sometimes great movies just pass you by! 😃
