Sometime last year I put on 80 FOR BRADY and texted my friend "I think I might be depressed, I actually WANT to watch 80 for Brady!" Total lark, it was enjoyable, and it was great to see Sally Fields in top form again. And definitely going to check out Kano now.

You know, I actually kinda miss mid-budget cinema like this. Most of it just regulated to streaming these days, but these types of movies definitely have their place.

Think I’ll recommend this one to my 80-something parents, sounds right up their street. But I’m excited about next week’s Field of Dreams, one of my favourite films too.

That letterboxd review made me laugh way harder than I expected. Honestly once I saw the cast of the movie I knew I would be sold. It sounds like a nice cozy roadtrip movie to start the autumn season. I'll have to check it out

It is. It’s a good movie for a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon on the sofa. I just wish it had more actual road trip! 😊

Thanks for the shout-out, James! And you bet I've seen Kano. It's a little slow in parts but we'll worth it for its "big game sequence" and the education about a tournament I knew nothing about.

I have gone on to tell my friends that, whenever I am gung-ho about an idea, I am 80 For Brady. And when I am a little uncertain, I am very much Not 80 For Brady (and sometimes, I am just 55 For Brady).
